Hi,

In face of increasing competition, search engine giant unveils 'secret project' called Google Caffeine. It is next-generation architecture for Google’s web search. What do you think Caffeine update will help us or not? Will it make our job tough?

Right now, I'm just playing with it over the last couple of days and the results seem so much better.

Just check out google sandbox tool and observe the difference.

I hadn't heard about it until your post, and for other's like me that haven't here's a blog post on it

http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot. ... ation.html

Here's the preview
http://www2.sandbox.google.com/

doing a quick search of the terms: webmaster forum, and comparing the results side by side between current and preview, the results, seem nearly identical. Both come in at about 36 million results. I did notice the preview is a tad slower. .09 secs for the current, and .24 secs for the preview. Surprisingly results for the same term at Bing are quite similar, however, 350 million results showed up.

Google specifically states that its goal for the new version of Google Search is to impove its indexing speed, accuarcy, size and comprehensiveness.
Hope it's a big advantage for us.

Improving a search engine's index could be both an advantage and a disadvantage. Advantage to some new sites and pages because they have an increased chance to be part of the indexed pages and disadvantage for some sites SEOwise because they'll have more competition. I just hope this improvement will not change the way we do SEO.

Yea that's sounds right to me as well. Introduction of anything like google caffeine will certainly make our survival even worst.
