How do I get my site into google?

Hi all, Im a noob webmaster. I would like to get my site into google search engine but I dont know how. Does anyone know how?

Try registering in dmoz.org. Register now and leave it for few weeks, automatically your site will be indexed by most of the well known search engines.
and also go here and submit http://www.portprophecy.com/submit.html

Thanks for the replies guys! I have submitted to alot of search engines now and I guess its time to start racking up those links like Solutions said.

It took me nearly 4 months to get listed in google!!! , waiting and waiting, so i know how bad it can be! , but i eventually got listed , but thats were the battle starts!!, once you get on the other side you have to deal with SEO!!! ,and thats just as bad!!! . but very rewarding!!!, like playing a huge game with millions of others all at once!, thats what ya got to look forward too!!!.

At least we have ozzu for any advice!!!

try to get a quality back links to your site. this is better rather than submiting your site to search engines. the google crawler will find you quicker, if any of these pages that you link from are spidered regularly.
