Do keywords in the URL help to get higher ranked?

Do you think is a good idea to add something into the url like below:

http://www.zam.it/home.php?id_autore=55 ... mine+Abate

"&autore=Carmine+Abate" are the keywords I added into the url.

I am new at this but from my experience, I think it would be a good idea as this happens to my webpage now. When I type the keywords in the google search as my name - Rashmi Shamanna, my site is not listed but when I type it with no space between my first and last names - rashmishamanna, it shows my site. Probably Gbot lists links thru the names on the webaddress. I think it may be a good idea to use the keywords in the website address.

Some years ago, this help a lot to get relevance on pages. It's less and less right. But it's still a bit.

Hello,
Keyword in url helps a lot. Choose your main keyword and get a url reltated to it.

I dont think this will fetch you result.
http://www.zam.it/home.php? d_autore=556&autore=Carmine+Abate

URL like this will help
http://zam-carmine-abate.com

I have more than 1700 authors reviewed. It could be cool to create a website for any of them :D

Hi,
Zam.it is completely in italian language, so i could not make out what is written there. But I can smell that its all about books.
So my advice about url would be something like this
http://www.zambookstore.it
or zamonlinebookstore.it
ww.zam-bookstore.it
if you guys cannot get into your brain then i dont know in which language i should say.
No more foolish suggestions

it helps a great deal to have the keywords in the url. ideally is not to use ? or =, and the url not to be too long.

i have seen very good forum where they convert the php url in the url containing the title of the post+id
