Hello!

I'm fairly new here, but impressed with the knowledge that so many of the members have. I've been pretty lucky with google without much 'tuning' and my site has a PR of 6. However, Yahoo crawls my site twice as much as google, and I get about 1/3 of the hits that I do from google. The remaining search engines bring me very minimal traffic.

Can anyone recommend an SEO organization (or individual) that they trust or have experience with. I've done some searching around the net, but it's just so hard to know who to trust.

If someone here has some experience and is interested in working with me directly, I would be open to that is well.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!!

Ron

Well minusme - you're off to a flying start with a great looking site, lots of good content, and a PR6 without heavy SEO.

Taking a quick look at the site there's some fairly obvious things that could be done from the SEO perspective.

I'll PM you.

Looks like your doing a good job so far. Since your at a great point, you could start to learn natural seo yourself and post questions here as you have them.

There are members here that have a lot of experience and should chime in. I would love to help you, but I am a little overworked, another moderator is Jess for instance that has a lot of experience with seo.

Funny thing about SEO firms, I've seen many complaints about them
in the forums, but I don't remember ever seeing a post complimenting
an SEO firm such as: "I paid hundreds of dollars and I'm happy with
the results".

In my opinion, the number one factor for SERPs is links from high PR
pages with your keywords as the anchored text.

just my opinion tho,

That is because people/businesses that have a great seo company have no need to be learning SEO, that is what they hired us for. We have dozens of clients that pay hundreds of dollars a month, and we do an amazing job for...if we didn't, they would just drop us. We go month to month with our clients, so our relationship built with them is through success, not yearly contracts.

That's probably because most companies don't want their competitors knowing who optimized their site. Why let your competition even the playing field by letting them know who got your online exposure & sales up?
