I know that the Google spider only follows text links. However does PR leak through links in an image map?

Google will follow all links inside image maps. Make sure to make use of the alt tag on your images so that your links have more meaning. PR will leak through both.

Yes...the alt tags on images that are not linked can help with your over all keyword density if you make use of your keywords in the alt tag. It won't hold as much weight as keywords used in your anchor text but it will help a small amount.

if there is no link for image than google does not weight. It appreciates it only as content for the page where image is.

All of it...my guess would be that the alt images would carry more weight since it is supported buy more browsers than title.

Both the alt and title tags will be factored into your keyword density.
