Hi,

I need to add a photo gallery in my joomla website and I want to pick one that will be friendly to google´s indexation and help with my SEO efforts.

I am not quite an expert, any suggestions will be most appreciated.

thanks in advance

Are you using the photogallery in Flash or simple doing clicks or images rollovers?

If you are doing this in flash it may be better, as long as you are using div classes to import the flash, it won't take up much code on the page, which will be the best option for SEO.

Alternatively if you are doing rollovers or pop up images, you will probably need to create more code on your page. To help optimise, the best option is to use keyword ALT tags if possible, and if they link to any pages then you should name the pages with keyword rich text.

Does this help?

You can used all the alt attribute in the image tag if the image is useful...
And put an appropriate KW with it...I assure you it will bring bunch of traffic...
I tested that already but one thing left to me...is the image traffic is a quality one???

I would say do a good keyword research based on your images and then do the alt attrib like the other guy said and tag them well. I am not very good with Joomla. I am more into wordpress which is a lot easier to use and time saver.

you can put tags in your images after uploading them in Photobucket or Imageshack, and just copy the code
