Unexplained PR6

Hello, folks!

Could you explain me, how this site: http://www.my-ip.info gets PR6? It's not listed in DMOZ, it has only few links in Google and 32 links in MSN(it's the fastest search engine). It has only few pages. Yes, it's rather old, but it cann't explain PR6. And PR-checking tool shows, that it's real.

Dmoz means nothing. It has 92 links showing in google, Some of them may be high PR links.

by the way, dmoz was closed for a while, but now it seems to accept new listings again

and meman is right, only 1 or 2 pr8 links could do that

Hmmm....do you mean that without having many backlinks ....if we have just few HIGH PR reciprocal links on our site can get our website PR rank higher ?


let me know this...i am a bit confused.

Yes, and they don't need to be reciprocal links.

P.S. Your website doesn't have a PR, your pages do.

well. not PR6 anymore, a quick check just now. PR4 only.

Hmmm, in other datacenters, the site's PR is 4, do not use your Google toolbar as your main reference because it represents the datacenter you are using, except if your website has PR 6 in all/majority of datacenters.

Could take one, could take one hundred. A bunch of factors besides the numbers of backlinks determine that.
