Hi friends,

I just happened to notice a Google PR dance on one of my Portal and its going between PR6 (new) and PR5 (old). I got it checked from 2 different locations of ours. Do you all also noticed something similar.

And should we assume that after so many months there is finally a Google PR Update?

And it seems surprising that we are not hearing much about it on other forums.

Cheers,
Vijay

Yes I can confirm there is indeed a PageRank update. Ozzu went back to PR6, and many of our other sites either stayed the same or increased slightly.

I think the reason you are not hearing about it as much as in the past is because these PR exports are so old and aren't as useful to SEO experts as they once were. While a PR increase on your site is still nice to get, don't expect your traffic to change when it happens -- and this is ultimately what SEO experts are after, is traffic from Google.

Thanks Bigwebmaster for finally showing my post as I was wondering that I made the post and it didnt appeared. Part of the reason for not seeing posts on PageRank updates may be there is a filter on threads on discussing PageRank updates on Ozzu.

Well I take PR update as an indicator on what Google thinks about my website and higher up it is there is more trust level from Google.

Cheers,
Vijay

I haven't had the Google toolbar installed since I upgraded to windows 7.

Just installed it and noticed that my sites homepage climbed one spot.

I noticed a lot of changes on my inner pages this time around, home pages pretty much stayed the same though. I was kind of hoping the few sites I started around Christmas would jump right in and catch up with their sister sites, no such luck though.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

The page ranks use to change very frequently and it takes hardly a day to increase the page rank to 1, if it is promoted properly.

Yeah Vijay,

Last was on April I guess the delay in PR by Google is a clear indication of Page Rank is becoming less important to Google.

Although my site got good hike but my blog remains the same..

OK we know there was a PR update. We don't need a thousand posts confirming it. Topic locked.
