How do I get my site back in the top 5 position on Google?

Hi,

I have my site in top 5 position in google uk it came into position 5 on google international then dropped down, what is the best way to get it back on page 1 ?? in google international my main keyword is "widget widgets"

The best way is to hire someone that deals with that stuff.

Have you waited it out, or are you reacting impulsively on something that just happened ?
I find that when I have sudden falls it usually coincides with some sort of update and I'm right back where I was or better in a week or two. I always freak out during the first day or two.

Yes, I agree with joebert. It is the effect of Google update.
Just continue with your link building efforts.
Everyone experiences a drop in ranking.
Oh, btw, I checked your competition for that keyword and it counts to 1,590,000. It's pretty low aand ranking high would be a bit easier compared to the 20,500,000 competition I have for my keyword.

Thanks, So what would you suggest to get my site higher up? I have already done alot of link building in the last 6 months, any other tips? For example on most of the European googles im on page 2/3 how do I increase that?

Continue to work very hard on your SEO. Keep in mind that SERPS position can change often. This is due to the fact that most people carry on continuous SEO efforts. IF you stop your SEO someone will pass you by, simple as that. If you continue adding fresh content and building backlinks you should not have problems maintaining it.
