Hi Aurel,

Thank you for your note. Please be assured that your site is not currently banned or penalized by Google.

We understand your concern; however, these changes are consistent with the normal fluctuations outlined in our previous email. As we add new pages and incorporate updates to existing pages, you may see changes in the ranking and inclusion of sites in our index. Because our index changes regularly, it's possible your site will regain its ranking in a few weeks. In the meantime, we hope that you will review the helpful tips posted on our site.

Regards,
The Google Team

Well, veto, you were right on the money, at least for me. After the last backlink update, my results are back to pretty much where they were before the Feb 5th update.

If it wasn't for your thoughts quoted above and elsewhere, I would have been very frustrated. It did take some patience to wait it out though, but the good news is you were right.

I see dmoz dropped to PR8 for me, but I am not really seeing many changes here yet. Just a few very large sites changing.

Interesting. I just looked at DMOZ and not only did PR drop form 9 to 8, their backlinks dropped from 321,000 to 61,000

I've been predicting all a long that the update will be April 1st. Will be interesting to see what happens today.

Happy "Google Fools" everyone! *lol

Yesterday was a horrible day due to ThePlanet(one of the U.S. biggest DC) enermous network outgate which was last more than 8 hours and i think more than 2million websites were down due to this datacenter power system crashes...

and this was happened while 40 googlebot was on our site, i wish this wont effect the backlink counts, i am afraid so much this also will effect whole sites backlink counts too

Google indexed my whole site ... top to bottom ... March 23-24.

Expect to see at least a backlink update two to three weeks after that date ... about mid April (11 or 17 --- they seem to like weekend updates).

A PR update is due but when did Google ever follow a schedule?

I'm seeing no signs of a PR update or BL update :?:

What is everyone talking about ? You're personally seeing updates on your sites or just DMOZ ?
