Nope, it hasn't. A BL update started two days ago, but no Pagerank update. It has been flucuating the last 3 or 4 weeks, but no update. Where are you hearing this?

This may be a stupid question, but is there any reason why the PR update is only done 4 times a year?

Already backlinks got updated, so anytime google can update the PR.

well my PR was updates
& Links

i site went from PR 0 to PR 5
domain was less than two months old

Rich, are you sure about increase in PR; If you are considering about toolbar PR update then it may sometime gives you wrong value better check your PR at livepr.raketforskning.com/
You know Google don’t easily give high PR for new sites.

There are 2 major google updates per year!

The first one is in April and the second one is in October.

As far as I know.

Yep, your wrong :wink:

No one knows for sure how many updates Google will do every year and when. Your positioning will change constantly. In the past 4-5 years, Google has done an average of 3-4 Pagerank Toolbar and large BL updates per year.

Not sure whether the backlink update is currently in progress or whether it has finished. A few people think it starts next month, some think it has already finished and some think it is currently in process.

I'll let you know as soon as I have some further info
