now i got a friend who has a hp 512a and he wants to upgrade ram. tried searching online about this particular machines spec with no luck. cam across this site:
http://www.memoryx.net/hewpav512a.html
so i thought its a 184pins support mainboard, sent my friend some modules of PC266 184pins. he emailed me and said it doesn't fit...

has anyone used any of these machines? or does anyone know where i can get specifications about these machines from?

I find it funny when you put HP 512A into google most of the search results are related to RAM upgrades. Seems to me they use something out of the ordinary. Not sure what to tell you.

http://www.crucial.com They have a nice little selector. But also CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.org works just as well.
