8200 touchpad help

several months ago I spilled lemonade on my laptop. Well, I am using it and as the months progress...it gets better and better. At first it was acting weird but I handled it to the point where the space bar and touchpad were the only two things not working. I ordered a new keyboard and unit with speakers and touchpad but today I got the space bar working. Is there something I can do about the space bar the purple dot in the middle of the keyboard to get those working?
