hi, my com specs is:
Asus A7N8X , 512mb DDR, AMD Athlon Xp 2400+

My computer recognize my CPU is 1800+ (default ) , in BIOS -the original setting is FSB100Mhz and multiplier is 15X .So i change the FSB to 133MHZ to become 2400+ ( without changing other things) ,but my computer will automatically restart when i play games.

Some people told me to take out the battery of mobo for 1 hr then put back , but wont it affect the BIOS setting ?

please ADVICE !!thanks

your overclocking, and as you havnt changed any other settings eg voltages it wont be a stable overclock, hence the random restarts when your pc is under load.

Overclocking makes your computer unstable. You need to do one or more of the following:

-Get a cooling system or more fans to keep the CPU cool.
-Take down the speed a little bit.
-Get a faster processor that has been known to overclock better.

You could have a faked CPU, usually the motherboard is right at telling what processor it is, try downloading CPU-Z and see what that says. Its a Possability....

I said that before i am sure my CPU is real 2400+ ,coz i check the serial number and it match the one form AMD.com . First i thought it was fake one also , but i checked the serial , 100% confirm is AMD Xp2 2400+.

Beside, i try CPU-Z before , it also depends the fsb setting - if u change fsb , CPU-z show changes also
thanks
