This is sweet.. I am going to get the Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (55% less $ = wow) in my new computer..
i was going to get the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ but not the price jump is not so bad..

do you guys think it would be smart to buy a new amd cpu?
i notice the prices are rediculously cheap....either to compete with intel or to liquidate thier stocks
by the time i buy a chip would they come out with something brand and totally new?

am2 is the new format.. i dont know if they are going to stik with that are not but that what i am going to get soon..

i hear am2 isnt all its cracked up to be...u can get btter performance wit 939

really.. the 5000+ is only for the am2.. do you have more info on this?
