another DVD ROM drive problem

i have a samsung writemaster DVD writer but the problem with it is when a media is played (audio/video) after 2 seconds it stops then the timer runs but the picture doesn't change at all and no sound also the timer runs faster then it skips at a certain time then after a short play this problem occurs again..at first i thought the DVDdisc was the problem but after trying it with six different DVDdiscs the same thing happens..someone a little help please??
