I'd add plexiglass. A fully open case often does not get better cooling than a properly set up enclosed one.

I have a coffee cup permanently on top of my PC, does that count as a mod?

Skirge,

Could you please optimize your photos? Right now they are well over 30Kb each, please take into consideration slower connections. Thanks!

I am going to sound slightly hypocritical (in a way) here.

What is the point in Modifying your computer? I can understand perhaps changing some hardware to make the machine faster and more comfortable, but changing the case your CPU is in? Why?

So as all the other computers don't laugh at it and call it names for wearing last season's case.

Well, i love my Cheiftec Dragon Tower. Its big, provides loads of airflow and has loads of room for expansion. With case modding its easy to change things about the case apperance wise, but changing the ammount of drive bays it has, the number of fan mounts, support for EATX is allot harder to change. The only adivce i can give to anyone who is case modding is to get a decent case in the first place :P

With that rant over with, does anyone know how hard it would be to install a perspex window? Its normal 1mm thick steel which shouldnt be too hard to cut.

A dremel or Black & Decker multi tool would do the job, just cut the window smaller that required then file the rest for a smoother, not so slit your wrists and bleed to death finish.
