Atapi CD Rom Failure . HELPPP! ;\\

while booting my computer i receivedthis message:
boot from Atapi CD Rom: failure
Starting windows 95
C:\>_(i am able to type here)
I have no clue what that means. I know that the HDD has Windows 98 SE, which confuses me because its trying to start windows 95.
If anyone has any idea for what i am supposed to type after C:\> please let me know. I really need helP
