Hi,,

I do have ATI ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 9000 PRO vga card in my pc which is p4 proc.2.6 ram 512 it's a wonderful pc.

My problem is that i usually capture movies in my hard disk which is 40x40 gig through Humax Digital Receiver. I copy the movie to my cdr (LG) through Nero and it's Encoding like a normal VCD.

The VCD play very nice in my pc but when i play it in my GRUNDIG GDV 130 DVD PLAYER i get crack sound and frames. I read in many sites about this problem and how to make changes e.g.defrag hard disk, use different resolution, change mpeg 1 or 2 e.t.c but all in vain.

Now is it all the DVD player cannot support playing the VCD ????

How can upgrade the dvd player ?

Can someone tell me how to copy captured movies from Digital Receiver to vcd .

Thanks

Some standalone DVD players simply don't support VCD, or have a DVD drive capable of reading CD-Rom at any decent kind of speed...

You wanna know what the best DVD player is out there for playing VCD/SVCD that I've found? It's a tiny (about 8"x8"x2") player that I picked up at Walmart's Sams Club for about 40 bucks.

A friend of mine has a $500 DVD player that won't play VCD or SVCD, but this $40 box will.

He uses his expensive DVD player for DVDs with the full surround sound, and the cheap player for VCD/SVCD (which are stereo only).
