CrossFire looks great on paper. You can use two different video cards instead of having to use the exact same ones (like in SLi). If it all works like it's supposed to, CrossFire will be a huge innovation for computer graphics.

As for ATi copying Nvidia, both actually copies Voodoo which used dual video cards years ago. It's not a new concept.

voodoo made their own mobos? i didnt know that, i guess these companies just made it easier for them.

A lot of money just like when any other top of the line card comes out. It would be nice if they came out at $100 or less but that won't happen, expect a $500 price tag on the latest and greatest plus a new motherboard to support it.
