If there are any graphic card experts, I need your help
Can you explain me the difference of the following cards (detailed information IN ENGLISH, not computer-words).
Isn't 256MB supposed to be more powerful (much expensive???)

ATI RADEON 9800PRO 128MB RETAIL 207.00 €
ATI RADEON 9800PRO 128MB SAP. PRO UL 269.00 €
ATI RADEON 9800PRO 256MB BULK 279.00 €

and what is BULK?

Thank you.

I can not really tell you what the differences are but I can enlighten you on one point  :

Retail :

Bulk:

Retail means you get the package , the hardware , and mostly some extra Software like games and stuff.

Bulk only contains the neccessary stuff you need to get the hardware working. Therefore "Bulk" is much cheaper and the better choice in most cases.

ATI RADEON 9800PRO 256MB BULK 279.00 €

the difference between 128mb and 256mb is hardly anything

so just bypass that

and Jester answered the bulk/retail bit

so it depends on what package you want

There is a big difference between 128MB and 256MB, but only if you are playing new generation games. 128MB won't be enough to run future games at an acceptable frame rate.

no

the 9800pro doesn't have enough power to utilize the extra 128, check any benchmarks, the 256 gives it what? a 1fps advantage?

This is true, for now. In the future, I think the 256 will make a big difference since games are asking for more and more memory. It's just a way of futureproofing yourself. Also, most 256MB Radeon 9800 Pros are clocked lower than the 128MB version.

Just buy the RETAIL! Radion radion 9800 256MB is the 9800XT 256MB ehrn it is faster but you may as well get the new Geforce 6800 128MB if you have that kined of money.

... check this very simple to understand chart of last generation cards:

By the way

I have an old motherboard (A7V333 AMD Athlon 2200+) I think it supports AGP 4X. Is this going to give me problems with my R9800?

What negative effects will this cause to my R9800?

It may bottleneck a bit. I wouldn't think it would cause a major problem.

the difference between agp 8x and 4x is hardly anything

the cpu may be a small bottleneck in newer games.
