Bios Prob on bootup

Hello all,

Got a problem here, i have a computer i have been workining on and when i boot up i here no post beep or c anything. It then pops up this message

BIOS ROM checksum error

Keyboard error or no keyboard present

Detecting floopy drive A media

insert system disk and press enter

I am using a kvm switch but i have also tried pluging a regualr keyboard in and i have tried a usb keyboard. any help would be apprecated. Thanks in advance

BIOS ROM Checksum Error Problem

A few other sites have seen this issue when changing hardware. Most recommend, disconnecting the hard drives, optical drives and floppy. Then clearing the CMOS by removing the battery and/or moving the jumper. Let it sit over night or for an hour and then re-insert the battery and hook everything back up. Boot the system.

When you say working on, what do you mean exactly?
