Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM:

Hi, I get message "Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM:" just before i load the settings from a bootable CD,,, i hit "Enter" and it starts the XP boot disc, but once settings loaded & it restarts the PC, i get the same options, keeps looping, any ideas?

After the next restart dont respond to the prompt "Press any key to boot from CD..." or if it asks to select the boot device use your harddisk instead of CD drive.
I guess you are talking about installing/reinstalling Windows XP and your ATAPI CD drive is set to be the first in the boot device priority.

yeah that sounds like the problem.. you keep pressin a key when it says boot from cd.. you gotta leave it this time to install
