OK, I previously asked for directions to a new motherboard, but come to find out I am a little outdated with computer systems, mainly asking for an AGP port when it seems it was pretty much replaced with PCI Express x16, and also the need to look into SATA instead of IDE. So I've put together a system that I am thinking of buying and I'm looking for feedback. The only thing I am unhappy with is my choice of memory because of the timing, but it seems that this motherboard will only allow timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6, but I can't complain too much because I'm certain that regardless, this memory is better than my 7 year old memory that I'm content with. (side note, I am absolutely pissed that I paid $1,000 for 512MB of memory back then, and now I can get 2Gigs of memory for a little over $100...but then again, I shouldn't really complain should I.) So why am I sticking with this motherboard if I'm not happy with the memory limitations? Because every computer I've built has been with an ASUS board and I'm very happy and comfortable with it, and it has the amount of PCI slots I need. If you know of a motherboard with an equal or more PCI slots and the same capabilities of this board, please point me in the direction....but I'm not spending more than $180 for a motherboard. This computer also needs to be as quiet as possible, hence choice in graphics card, power and fans.

Why not consider an AMD Proc? its cheaper with the same computing power (some say its even better) with Intel. its smarter choice.
