Please don't start flaming, but Celerons suck. You can't judge between the processor for people who do word processing and a normal processor from AMD. Try it again with a P4.

Be it AMD or Intel just remember to keep it cooled down with a good heat sink, either with a fan or refrigeration. Especially if your going to overclock it.

AMD vs Intel is kind of like Nvidia (GeForce) vs ATI (Radeon). It always goes back and forth and you always have people trying to defend each side. Just like Ford vs Chevy as well. Prices always fluctuate too and usually Intel is more expensive than AMD, maybe times are changing though if Jimmie is right, who knows. I am still not convinved though!

yea, but as we have said intel concerntrate on clock speed and amd on performance, maybe the xp3200 is something really special i dont know, but 1 thing i do wonder about

ppl say that the new 64bit processors will take over servers?.....will that mean there could be a new gaming processor as well, or would they not make a difference and are only for servers?

i dont know i am only asking :P

another thing i picked up on whilst i was on my travels on the web, it is that the amd xp processors justify their speed by the name, the number after the name i.e.
2400
2600
3200
means the mhz comparison to intel
so the xp2400 is a rough estimate as the p42.4ghz

so the xp3200 has a rough estimate to 3.2ghz and right to be double the price of the p4 2.6ghz
considering the p4 3.06ghz to be $376
and the xp3200 would be quicker than that

but thats my opinion
