check your bios settings and make sure cpu pnp voltage settings are correct. I dont think you'll notice the difference .01 makes though. :)

Right, in your bios there should be a setting for pnp (plug-and-play) cpu settings or something similar. There you'll be able to see if your motherboard bios has picked up your processor parameters correctly. ie...bus speed and core voltages. If youre not interested in overclocking, just make sure its set to the correct defaults for your processor. If its naming your processor correctly (what series and mhz), don't make changes.

Not that you asked twmspro, but I thought Id also mention to you, make sure you have adequate cooling by way of airflow to your new box. I opened my personal machine up the other night, and remembered I have 7 fans running in there. Theres a lovely program you can download free called "motherboard monitor" thatll track all your voltages, temps and more. Good cooling is crucial to long life, and thats why I put all those fans in mine. Keep an eye on your fan r.p.ms. and temperatures during your machines burn in period, and over time and you'll get the longest use out of it.

Who isn't interested in getting more bang for your buck ?

Anyway, twmspro since you said your "not exactly a hardware guy" I wolddn't think about overclocking untill I at least outgrew the systems capabilities  You said it yourself, "This is the fastest comp i've ever been on"

BTW I want pictures too :D

Thats why I said that. I dont want to get him pushing up voltages when he was only wondering why his mhz was slightly low. He can decide on that later on his own if he wants.

Im waitin for the pics too. :)

Newegg rocks! Your links are good, I saw the photos just fine. Congrats! :)
http://www.nexfan.com is a good place to look for fans, Ive used them often with no problems. make sure you get some good heatsink compound, and dont overuse it. There are tutorials on http://www.amd.com to show you how to properly apply the compound.
