I recently uninstalled Linux Fedora on my old Gateway machine, and reinstalled Windows XP. Everything is working fine, but it does not recognize my 2nd hard drive that was installed a few years ago. What do I have to do to get XP to recognize that 2nd drive?

I am assumeing this drive was formatted for Fedora if so you have to reformat it with NTFS (or you could use FAT32 if you really wanted to). I am not sure if Windows will format a Linux partition if the steps grinch mentioned about doesn't do it the you will need 3rd party software like partition magic to format it.

windows xp cd wont recognize the file system but will know there is one there. it will just mark it as unkown and it will delete it and create a new partition and format it just fine.
