celeron D and mobo

hi guys, i have a processor celeron d 2.7 ghz/128.400 sl77s, how would i go about to find what motherboards fit this processor ? more than finding out the mobo model i'd like to know the steps taken to find out what mobo can be used with it.

Do you know the socket of your old or current mobo is...for example Socket 754 or 939 or LGA775. If you still have the box for the CPU, it should tell you the socket number there or in its manual. So any motherboard that states that socket number means that your cpu is supported. E.g Asus A8n-e socket 939, nForce4, 2000mts... you get the point,

ok, so one goes by the socket number on the cpu box, then you just search for a mobo that supports that socket, i got it, it is a little confusing since the processor itself doesn't say socket "###", but the box does, thanks for your help.
