Hi all,

I had bought PC Magazine each week, and now hold many old magazine on my desk, so it is time to find the value document to keep and make it all digital for future using ...

I need some suggestion on the choose the cheap and good scanner and how the best of best process to be PDF book.

For example, if I bought the scanner, using what dpi to scan the magazine is the best way that can print out again if need in the future, 300 dpi or higher? And save as PDF is the best way?

P.S. all book are Chinese, so the OCR fuction for me is useless.

And please suggestion some cheap scanner for my need? I not need scan photo, just magazine right now, so the price better about HKD 1000 - 1500 dollar, any brand also welcome.

Thx

approx 128-193 dollars US.

I am not sure for Chinese characters, but 300dpi is fine for English letters.

Personally I have an HP scanner

Here is a list of HP scanners under $200 American
