ok, heres the deal.

I downloaded ClockGen so i can overclock my brothers computer. I went playin with it on mine and raised my clock speed by just 100mhz to see if it works. Well it turned my screen Yellow and i had to remove my battery to turn it off. when my computer rebooted it told me i had a 794mhz processor when i actually have a 1.73ghz processor. i really *peach* up this time. is their any way i can restore my original processor speed? i shouldnt have went playin with my clock speed but i was curious and now my computer is screwed.. $1300 laptop just turned into a worthless piece of junk..

OCing a laptop is a cardinal sin. Never do that.

See if your laptop has a hard reset to reset all bios settings etc,

If you churn on laptop and press DEL key, can u get into BIOS ?

If you can get into BIOS then go to restore defaults or failsafe defaults,,, load defaults, ,something like this.

Let us know whats up. Your laptop isn't screwed up, so don't worry!,, well get this going again!,,,

ok, i tried this yet a third time, this time a boot screen didnt come up asking me to start in safe mode or last known good configuration because of a "hardware change". it went through and now my speed is back to normal (for now). if it goes back to a low speed (please god no) ill be sure to post again. thanks for the help.
