Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I thought it could fit into many sections.

I have around 10+ 500GB Hard drives connected to one computer. All of the hard drives are assigned different drive letters, so what are my options of networking the 10+ drives and have all of them linked from under one drive?

I have shared root drives before, but how would I link all the drives from one drive. (i.e I want to make one drive, Z:\, and have links/shortcuts to the multitude of drives (ex. F:\ or T:\) on the serving computer.) 1st of all, is this possible or should I just have 10+ drive letters on the network.

Any other ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Edit: The networks is running windows xp

Wow, what gave you the idea to put all those drives on one PC?

I vote for leaving the 10+ drive letters as the are.

If you're using NTFS, Disk Management has an option to mount a partition as a folder under an existing drive letter. So you could probably give the first drive a letter, then mount the remaining ones under that.

I think with some 3rd party drive management programs you can merge two drives into one ... that could also be another alternative, but I would rather leave it as 10+ different drives ...

Thanks for the feedback everyone. But I just decided to keep all the separate drives separate and title them accordingly. Thanks.
