CPU problems/ my cpu is retarded?

i go to system properties and look at my computer in the general tab


computer: AMD Athlon {tm} 64x2 dual core processor 5200= 1.79 ghz, ect BUT it changes
earlier it said 1.00 then 2.71 is it supposed to do that?

umm i'm sure it shouldn't do that lol

i was afraid of that answer ...windows xp home.

so each time you look it the speed of your cpou is different? go back to properties and when it says a speed that isnt right go

start -> run -> dxdiag

and see what that says

yea it says no problems found but it still changes...should i be worried? i have a gigabyte mother board and AMD Athlon (tm)Dual Core Porcessor 5200+, 3dnow, (2cpu's)

on my comp the free space of my hhd is always changing like gigs in size sometimes it;s 95 then 97 then 96.8 and so on and more often then not when i right click properties it;s normally wrong anyways but this is vista

yea i was talkin about that earlier aslong as i play games without lag it can say whatever it wants i just wasnt sure if it was a serious problem or not..thanks for your help
