Dell ethernet not working

I installed a new hardrive on my laptop,Dell Inspiron 6000, now i can't get my ethernet card to work, green light comes on when i plug cable in but not the second light. How can i get it working?

You have to install the drivers from the Dell driver CD. Never install any OS unless you have the drivers.
