some please give me a drawing of a possible answer for:

Requirement
An enterprise wishes to construct its own physical network to provide connectivity to its various uses distributed around its geographically dispersed operation. Using the company specification given below, design, draw and justify your design. Your answer should contain (i) a description of your interpretation of the workgroup and inter-connection requirements, (ii) diagram(s) illustrating your design, and (iii) an accompanying textual description of your diagrams and decisions.

Components
- Workgroups correctly identified
- Appropriate network components used to fulfil the specification
- Components linked together correctly

Presentation
- Diagrams clear, interpretable and logical
- Text adequately describes diagrams and justifies decisions

Specification
Roof Ltd are a synthetic roof supplier based in North who manufacture a range of specialist products in its manufacturing plant in South. Head Office is based in a large multiple floored building in North which it shares with many other firms.

The South site is composed of three different buildings connected together by an ATM net-work. The twenty-strong Research and Development team is based in one building. The manufacturing building houses the assembly line that is controlled by nearly fifty small ro-bots each connected to the Assembly subnet. Supervisors and technicians in this building be-long to a separate workgroup. Both raw materials and the finished products are stored in the Deliveries building and are controlled by the Purchasing and Orders Team (POT). The Stock Server is a large database server accessed heavily by the POT, Assembly robots and supervi-sors.

The Head Office is composed of the management and network support team on the seventh floor. The Payroll and Customer Service departments are on the ground floor. The large Sales team occupies both the third and fourth floors. An ATM backbone is used to connect these subnets. None of the other companies in the building are connected to this private Intranet. The Sales Server with its database and administration software is central to both the Sales and Customer Service Teams.

The South and North sites are connected together by a regional WAN provider.

PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE WELL GREATFUL :D

The best help I could offer is to tell you to do your homework assignment yourself. Having someone do it for you or help you with the bulk of it will not help you in the least.

When you get your first job and you are asked to do this very thing, how are you going to do it if you don't learn how now?

Hi All,

Iv done a rough copy of what i think the following might look like but i need a second opinion.

Ay help would be greatful...

The North site is composed of three different buildings connected together by an ATM net-work.

I merged this with your original topic on it. Please don't make new posts on this. This is the third time you've started a new topic on the same school project. Please don't start any more new topics on it. Keep it to this one.

so there would there be a ATM cloud linked to three buildings via a router?

\----- ATM----/
B1 B2 B3

B1 router is connected to the switch??, which is then connected to 20 workstations??, the B1 switch is connected to server for B1?.

B2 router is connected to a switch, which links all 50 robots.
In B2 has seperate workgroup for Supervisors and technicians.(i.e 10 PC linked to switch and then linked to STOCK SERVER)

B3 is the Purchas order team, they have own work group, i.e 10 PC linked to a switch and then to the STOCK SERVER)??

am i on the right tracks???any1?
