Hi,

I have recently purchased a Seagate 120GB SATA Hard disk. I was able to successfully install the hard disk, but when my PC boots, it gives an error saying that the RAID array was not found. And it asks to configure the RAID array. And when I go into the RAID menu, it says that "There are not enough disks to create a RAID".

The problem is that I cannot create a RAID array as I have only 1 disk. So, the only solution to this, I think, is to disable RAID from BIOS. But the problem is that I could not find a method to disable RAID in the BIOS.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance!

i remember having a MSI board with the same issue, look under SATA options, there should be an option there somewhere, if not then choose "load default settings" on the main BIOS screen, or you might as well remove the CMOS battery and put it back on after 30 seconds or so, that should bring default settings back on.

Listen to what venkat said. Going into raid bios will get u no where.

just do a load defaults/fail safe defaults, something like this as venka said, Also the battery trick should do it. Some mobos require to remove batter then switch a jumper , then switch jumper back and place batter back. But this MSI mite not be like that. If this is the case a removal of battery to basically reset cmos should do it.

Thanks for the discussion. I looked and never saw those settings.
Once "On Chip SATA" is enabled, you select an SATA MODE.
The Choices are "RAID or IDE. " I am guessing that Selecting
"IDE" turns off "RAID."
The Manual is useless on this subject.
Thanks again to those who asked and those who responded.
