My old hard drive crashed so I had another drive and used Ghost backup to restore from a previous copy. When I turned on the computer after booting fine, no error beeps, I get the following message:

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.

When I then put in the Start-up/Rescue floppy disk and select option, "rdisk 0/Partion", Windows loads fine and I'm in.

If this helps both drives were Maxtor and I set the new drive jumper to the old setting as Master. I tried running "sys c:" in Command mode and got an error.

Any thoughts, all and any advice welcome. Thanks for the help. :?

Thanks for the fast reply. After reading the article I was able to repair the Boot.ini file via the Recovery Console since I am runing XP Pro.

Thanks again :D
