I have a Card Reader that i bought from my friend a little while ago, and the USB 2.0 slot works on it, but that card readers do not. I'm pretty sure i just need the driver for it, but no where on it does it say who it is made by and what version it is. What is the best and free program to use when looking to see what driver that you need?

There's no real program that will identify hardware and tell you what you need. But your best bet will be to just search for a generic USB card reader driver. Most of them are the same.

Just go to driverguide.com.
Login:
username: drivers
password: all

And just search from there. Card reader drivers are pretty generic.

The other thing would be to crack it open and see if the controller chip is marked with a company or model number.
