does the Asus A7M266D dual processor socket A board work with two XP processors?

I read on one review that it supports 2x MP processors, or single MP,XP, ahtalon or duron.

and another review said it supports 2x or single of any of the above mentioned...

is someone able to clarify for me?

thanks.

And if it doesn't boot...he could always sell that second cpu on ebay :|

Contact the mobo manufacturer's tech support line and verify that it DOES support the cpus BEFORE you buy them.

It will definately not support two Athlon XP.

It will definately support two Athlon MP.

You should know that Athlon XP and Athlon MP are quite different CPUs and it's not worth the try with two XPs!
