I was wondering if any one has any idea why my Asus A8V isn't Disabling the audio to my speakers that are connected at the rear of my computer when I plug headphones in to the front panel audio jack.

btw, when I was connecting the front port audio to the motherboard there was no +5VA wires as marked on the mother board but two Ground wires instead.

I don't have an answer to your problem but may I make a suggestion? I connected my sound card to my home stereo amp which produces a much better sound then any PC speakers. If you do that, it will solve your headphone problem as well.
