Anyone know anything about an nVidia GeForce 4 MX440 128MB agp graphics card? my friend dave was spewing out this random bs about it but that was just because he wanted to sell it to my other friend chris. but he tried to claim it was worth $60.. riiight ..but clock speeds would be nice or if anyone knows anything else about them, all info is welcome. thanks :)

i have the nvidia geforce4 mx440 but the one i have is a 64 mb ??? or is it suppose to be 64mb or is mine just broken ?? or do they have different versions of it ??

yea, my parents have the 64mb version.

and i can see that that card is 4x / 8x but usually that means that it can be set as either depending on whats supported by the mobo. so wouldn't this feature (having it be compatible with 8x) make the price of the card increase, at least to some extent?

Yes, it being 8x rather than 4x will increase the price. You could probably knock off $15-$20 or so from the 8x price.

Everything else on the link given should be correct for your card.

hmm.. shibby.

that card was $60, he sold it for $35. + it was getting a pretty solid 100 fps in CS 1.6 so i think thats pretty good for the price.. now we just have to get a heat sink for the cpu (which will happen in a couple hours) and we can get that beast up and running. however, it needs more ram..
its got an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 256mb pc3200 ram, that vid card, and an MSI mobo. so we're excited to get it booted up ^_^
