Hey I heard there was something you can put on your laptop so if it is stolen and turned on or connected to the internet then it can be located and returned. I'm not sure if it is hardware or software based, sorry.

I don't think this could be software...too easy to completely format, or replace the HD atlogether for that matter, & go from ground-zero. I guess it would be hardware, or maybe a device completely independent of the computer...thinking along the lines of GPS locators?
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

except it would have to be very well integrated so as to stop tampering with it, or removing it alltogether
