I know this doesn't have much to do with websites, but I'm trying to make 3d movies with blender3d and have sound in them. I have a cheap Packard Bell (gasp!) microphone, but it sounds like crap. Anyone know any good mics for under $50?

You can go down to Best Buy and get a regular old omni-mic for $10 to $30.

Thanks, these mics look pretty good. Do you know any mics that are good for recording low freq., like a bassoon?

Not specifically, no. I would guess, for under $50 bucks, your going to need to do some tweaking in a wav editor.

I plan on using Audacity. So basically just play with the freq. range?

I'm not familiar with Audacity. I use SoundForge - usually Normalize, and filter through EQ is what I do.

i use a headphone/microphone combo set and it works perfect for me. My voice is very clear and i can wear it so its not in the way. i got it at future shop its the AC-400 model about $30-$40 probably much cheaper in the U.S. then up here in Canada so you are probably looking at $20
