hello

i got radeon 7000 installed in my pc, its the graphic card that came already with the computer.

it seems like it doesnt support pixel shaders. i updated all possible drivers etc but i still cant play the new game i bouhgt.

Does anyone know what else i could do rather than buying a new graphic card?

The Radeon 7000 is old technology nowadays. I don't think it supports the new pixel shader technology and I doubt directX 9 will help. Here is what i pulled from ATI's website. The 7000 is not even regarded as a gaming card.

also if you looked at the system requirements you would have known that your card is not supported for the game.

When I bought it $300 USD, now probably a lot less. Cheapest I saw on pricewatch was $169 USD.

My current video card is a MSI GeForce 4 Ti4600 (I'm still waiting for my Radeon 9800PRO to come back from warranty), and Thief- Deadly Shadows works on this old card, not well, but it does.

You can get old Nvidia cards for around $80. I am running an NVidia GeForce Fx 5200 that cost $90 I think and it runs pretty good. I am sticking with it until the new doom and halo 2 come out!
