what graphics card would you recommend for gaming?

6800gt or x800 pro

both can be overclocked/modded into their bigger brothers for £100 less

All depends on what your Mobo, Cpu ,Ram ,Psu is .
If you have a older system (meaning 2 yers old )
there are some good deals out there for once was
the top of the line graphics cards aka (9800xt & 5950)
and they will run any game out there . (all of them )
Thing is you have to have a good system to begin with
has to have some power (power supply is crucial)
The days of the 350 watt PSU is gone forever.

I'm just planning to build a pc, sp it'll be pretty new §;)

It'll have an amd fx-55 cpu, Psu as needed, 1024 ram (speed according to the fsb of the fx55, 1:1).

I'm not sure about the motherboard, but it'll problably be one that goes very well with the cpu ;)
