i was installing halo for pc again and it did the same thing before so i don't know what to do so heres what it says

Halo- Fatal Error

A problem occurec instalizing direct3d hardware acceleration may be disabled please run dx diag


i ran dx diag and Hardware acceleration was not disabled.

i dont have any patches ? could that be the problem

mine does the same thing just after i have been playing it for a while and now something is now _ _ _ _ed up with my comp cuz i get a blue screen that stays on long enough for me to tell that it has writing on it but nowhere near long enough to read even a word

it didnt help me any grinch you or anyone got anything else you can suggest

my system spec is as follows

genuin ATi Radion 7000 series 64Mb vmem AGP vid card

athlon XP 2800+ barton CPU

Foxconn 600A01-6LRS mobo

Rosewill 512mb ddr400 ram model # RW400/512

some maxtor 20gig Hdd

ANTECH 300 Wat Power suply

quantum fireball secondary 3 gig HDD

all HDDs are IDE 333

does this help any

i think the blue screen thing is a driver issue or conflict or something
