Post 3+ Months Ago

okay so i have this hard drive that i took out of its external enclosure that i wanted to throw in to my tower instead of it being external and i tried to throw it in there and well basically it doesn't work.

i have it set to cable select. my primary hdd is in the 0 position and this one is in the 1 position. and the bios made me save the new settings and such.

there is only one physical hdd showing up however. if anybody can give me any advice as to how this one can be fixed because it's two 80 gb disks and i really want both of them. i tried master/slaving them as well.

thanks in advance

Try each drive one at a time, and if they both are recognizable then you know that its possible to configure them to both be recognized.

I almost always have problems with cable select so I normally just use master / slave.
