Hello, just to give everyone to whom it concerns and idea of what's going on.
Not long ago i put together a very good machine AMD 64BIT 3200+ good Vid card very good motherboard, etc i got a good harddrive 300 GB and eventually down the road it started to click and freeze up, i got angry and purchased a new one and this time took EXTRA great care for it, dust / spyware protection etc, just last night i heard a load type of sound come from with in the harddrive and that second it froze up (the computer) i went to task manager and checked and it 100% on the performance that means overload and then it stops i guess so basically i cant run anything TO big .. even though i should be able to with what i have atm, I reformatted TWICE and did the same thing's as always took great care and it's still happening, wonder what's the problem? i dont want to buy a new harddrive =( AGAIN

if u know anything of this ^^ please speak ~ thnx very much for ur time / help.

so youre sure that the HDD (and not mainboard or vidcard is the problem?
i guess you have not overclocked... but it might be that the power supply unit is somehow defect so theres overcore on the system?

i had a western digital the newer one is maxxtor or something

this is VERY frustrating i paid over 2,000$ for this PC and it doesnt ever work properly =(

i was thinking about the power supply but my retarded dad said "GET MORE RAM" i already have 1 gig .. i dont need more...

could it be dust?

what about the case?

CPU?

cant be video card.. why would that effect the hard drive clicking when i load big programs?

when u click CTRT ALT DELETE , etc and go to performance.. when it does the click thing and locks up ONLY when the bar is at 100% it makes sense just doesnt make sense why its going all the way to 100% this PC should support more then that..

a lot more..
