i've just got a 10 Gigabyte hard drive and the previous owner had format it to use on 5 Gigabyte (Logically). I don't know why!

now when plugged in to my computer which runs windows xp home edition, windows can only see it as 5 Gigabyte...

now i'm wondering how can i get the other 5 accessible and viewable?

Did you set the BIOS to auto detect before you installed the drive?

I don't think you'd have to remove the disk. You just need to boot into BIOS and go to advanced options and set the correct size if the disk is being recognized.

Did you format the drive when you got it?
