Hardware Load Test

I want to run a test on a computer (windows xp) that will put a load on the hardware. anybody have any ideas?

You could run it over with a 3 yard dump truck. That's about 6 or 7 thousand pounds.

anyway:
I think you need something like prime95, it tests the stabillity of your cpu and ram - and will cause your computer to heat up while it does it - allowing temperature tests too (though for graphics performance it's not helpful)

3rd and 4th links down - depending on if you're using 32 or 64 bit.

a word of warning though - if you run this for hours it could cause damage and use lots of electricity
