HDD Partitioning.

I am having 80GB hardisk right now...Could anyone suggest me what is the best partition of Hard Disk Drive?

It depends on what you want to put on the partitions.

How much to each? Can't say... that would depend on what you will be installing.
Rule of thumb. at least 2 partitions, one for all of your programs and OS, and the other for all of your data. So if you need to rebuild the OS, you just have to reinstall apps. not recreate all of your data.

you may want to expound on the different types and styles of partitions. There's a basic and dynamic types of storage. A primary partitions, extended partitions or logical drives. There is also an active drive. It may be advantageous to know what kind of disk partitioning would you opt to.
My beer's getting crunched again ... I need an app that'll keep this darn CD tray open!!!
